Fettes the Venue Private Chapel Weddings

Saying ‘I do’ is one of the most special, romantic and memorable moments in your life and what better way to share this truly magical time than in the spectacular surroundings of one of Edinburgh’s best kept secrets. Welcome to private chapel weddings at Fettes College.

Imagine yourself arriving at the spectacular entrance of Fettes College before entering the private grounds. The wooded drive leads you to our gravel esplanade where you are met by our breath-taking 19th century Bryce building which combines Loire chateau-style architecture with elements of Scottish Baronial. Once inside the building with its polished stone floors, your eyes will travel up the grand staircase which leads to the beautiful but intimate private chapel at the heart of the college where a hammer beam wooden ceiling combined with stained glass windows and exposed stone floors create a magical atmosphere.

Wedding offering

There are two options when holding your private chapel wedding at Fettes College.

Private Chapel Wedding includes use of our stunning chapel, parking and the various hidden gems within the grounds for your wedding photographs.

Private Chapel Wedding with Drinks Reception includes use of our stunning chapel, parking, the various hidden gems within the grounds, including the Headmaster’s private garden for your wedding photographs and, the opportunity to enjoy a drinks reception within the Callover Hall. Drinks packages can be tailored to suit your needs

Accommodation

Whilst we do not offer accommodation at Fettes College, we do have partnerships with a number of local hotels who will welcome your guests if required. Our wedding team will be more than happy to advise you on this and facilitate an introduction.

Car Parking

Guests are welcome to park their cars in the main Fettes College car park for the duration of your wedding. We are also happy for your guests to leave their car overnight but we ask that it be collected by 12 noon the following day.

Where Are We

Fettes College is one of Edinburgh’s most iconic buildings and is situated minutes from the historical and vibrant city centre of Edinburgh. If your guests are arriving by plane, we are only 25 minutes from Edinburgh International airport or 15 minutes from Edinburgh’s Waverley and Haymarket train stations.
